Game 16:   Moss (23)  Bowling Green (26)  (Jan 30, 2010)

Lady Dragons      6  -  10  -  5   -   2    (23)

Lady Purples       3  -  13  -  4   -   6    (26)

Lady Dragon Scoring: Barnett 9, Satterfield 8, Hill 4, Cobb 2

Curry Postgame: This was a good game to prepare us for the tournament.  Defensively we played well the entire game.  Offensively we got bogged down in the second half.  If we play with the same intensity in our tournament games we will do well.

Lady Dragons: (7 - 9 )

Game 15:    Moss (30) Bazzell (23)  @ Moss (Jan 25, 2010)

Lady Dragons  2   -   13    -  3   -   12       (30)

Bazzell            3   -     9    -  7   -    4       (23)

Lady Dragon Scoring: Barnett 11, Patterson 9, Hill 6, Satterfield 4

Curry's Postgame: We did a much better job defensively against Bazzell than we did at their place.  We cut down on their attempts from behind the 3 point line and also on their drives to the basket.  Offensively we struggled early but finally calmed down and began hitting a few shots.  We did a very good job on the boards after the first quarter.

Lady Dragons : ( 7 - 8 )

Game 14:    Moss (41)  Barren Co (35) OT  @ Moss  (Jan 21, 2010)

Lady Dragons    9  -  4  -  6  -  12   -   (10)   -   (41)

Barren Co         6  -  8   - 12  -  5   -   ( 4 )   -   (35)

Lady Dragon Scoring : Satterfield 21, Patterson 9, Hill 7, Barnett 4

Curry's Postgame: After getting off to a quick 9-0 lead in the first quarter we suddenly forgot what got us this lead and slept walked through the next quarter and a half.  This was not an unexpected thing as this was our 3rd game in 3 days.   With 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter we switched to a full court man to man and we came back to life.  From 11 down at that point we fought back to tie at the end of regulation and then out scored Barren 10-4 in the overtime period.  A big comeback after the poor effort on Wednesday.

Lady Dragons: ( 6 - 8 )

Game 13:    Moss (21)  Franklin (31)  @ Franklin (Jan 20, 2010)

Lady Dragons    2   -   6    -   6    -   7    (21)

Franklin            5   -   10   -   7    -   9    (31)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Hill 13, Satterfield 5, Cardwell 2, Curry 1

Curry's Postgame:  This was probably our most disappointing effort of the year.  We did not play with any intensity on either end of the floor.  We looked like a team of individuals.  Hopefully we will bounce back.

Lady Dragons : ( 5- 8 )

Game 12:    Moss (10)  Monroe Co (50) @ Moss (Jan 19, 2010)

Lady Dragons     4    -   4   -  2  -     0     (10)

Monroe Co        16   -   9   -  13  -  12     (50)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Hill 4, Cardwell 2, Ives 2, Cobb 2

Curry's Postgame:  We ran into a buzz saw against the best team in the league.  We did not handle their pressure which led to a lot of turnovers and easy baskets for them.  Hopefully we will learn from this experience and be better for it later in the season.

Lady Dragons : (5 - 7)

Game 11: Moss ( 26 ) Warren East ( 20 ) @ Moss (Jan 14, 2010)

Lady Dragons     9   -  10   -   2    -    5     (26)

Warren East      4   -   4    -    6    -    6     (20)

Lady Dragon Scoring: Ives 5, Satterfield 5, Hill 5, Curry 4, Cobb 4, Cardwell 2, Mosby 1

Curry's Postgame: Considering that we had not played for about 10 days I was pleased with the way we played in the first half.  We ran our offense pretty well and shot the ball well.  We got sloppy in the second half and forgot what had been good for us in the first half.  We didn't run our offense and did not play very good defense.  We did play hard the entire game which was a positive

Lady Dragons: (5 - 6)

Game 10:   Moss (20)  Drakes Creek (40) @ Moss ( Jan 4, 2010 )

Lady Dragons    4     -   6   -    8   -   2     (20)

Drakes Creek    8    -   20   -    8   -   4    (40)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Satterfield 9, Hill 5, Ives 4, Gibbons 2

Curry's Postgame: You could tell that we had not played in over 2 weeks.  Too many turnovers and a poor defensive effort combined to make for a long night. However it was good to get back to playing again and we will get better as we go along.

Lady Dragons: (4 - 6)

Game 9:  Moss (21) Bowling Green (24) @ BG (Dec 17, 2009)

Lady Dragons  8   -  3   -  3   -   7      (21)

BG                  8   -  4    -  8   -  4      (24)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Hill 12, Mosby 4, Ives 2, Satterfield 2, Curry 1

Curry's Postgame:  It was good to see an improved execution against the press,  improved team play, and improved intensity as we head into the Christmas break.  It is never fun to lose but the improvement gives us something to look forward to when we come back.  We still need to improve our half court play and work on our defensive rebounding but the overall improved play was good to see.

Lady Dragons:   ( 4 - 5 )

Game 8:    Moss (21)  Allen County (35) @ Allen  (Dec 14,2009)

Lady Dragons    6  -   6   -  8   -  1     (21)

Allen Co           10 -   7   -  10  -  8    (35)

Lady Dragon Scoring: Satterfield 8, Hill 4, Mosby 4, Cobb 3, Ives 2

Curry's Postgame: Our overall effort last night was disappointing.  The intensity that had been present in the previous games was not there.  Defensively we gave up way to many easy baskets and sent them to foul line to many times.  Offensively we never got into our offense.  We spent the night going one on one and not playing team ball.  As poorly as we played with one minute to go in the 3rd quarter we are only down 3 with the ball.  Hopefully we will learn from this and understand that we must play hard for the entire game and play as a team if we are to be successful.

Lady Dragons:  (4-4)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 7:    Moss  (35)  Barren County (29) @ Moss (Dec 10, 2009)

Lady Dragons      6 Â  -   11   -   5   -   13      (35)

Barren Co.          4   -    9    -   5   -   11      (29)

Lady Dragon Scoring:   Satterfield 15,  Hill 12, Cobb 3, Ives 2, Mosby 2, Curry 1

Coach Curry's Postgame: We came out a little flat but still managed to get out to an early lead which we maintained through out the game.  Our intensity got better as the game progressed.  Our defense has to get better a we spent to much time reaching instead of moving our feet.  Overall I am pleased and hope that we continue playing hard which makes good things happen for us.

Lady Dragons:  (4 - 3)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 6:     Moss (23)  Warren East 15  @ Warren East (Dec 7, 2009)

Lady Dragons     10  -   8   -   3   -   2      (23)

Warren East        0   -   2   -   3   -  10     (15)

Lady Dragon Scoring: Satterfield 7, Hill 7, Cobb 5, Mosby 2, Dismon 2

Coach Curry's Postgame: The ball game was not as close as the final score would indicate.  East plays with a lot of intensity.  We sometimes have a tendency to not be very aggressive when the other team is aggressive.  Tonight we matched their intensity, especially during the 1st half.  Offensively and defensively we played very good in the 1st half.  We got a little sloppy and missed some easy shots in the 2nd half but maintained our big lead because of our defense.  East hit 2 3's in the final minute of the game and we didn't manage the clock very good, which allowed them to get the score back as close as it was.

Lady Dragons: (3-3)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 5 :     Moss (7)  Monroe County (38)  @ Monroe Co (Dec 3, 2009)

Lady Dragons       0  -   2  -    3   -   2      (7)

Monroe Co          11  -  5   -  16  -   6     (38)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Hill 6, Satterfield 1

Coach Curry's Postgame: Our old nemesis, the inability to handle the ball against the press,  got us again.  We did a little better job of getting the ball to half court but our decision making from that point cost us numerous baskets.  We did a decent job defensively against one of the better passing teams we will face.  We will keep working hard and get better as the year progresses.

Lady Dragons: (2-3)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 4 :     Moss (33)  Franklin Simpson (30) @ Moss ( Nov 30, 2009)

Lady Dragons       6  -  5  -  9  -  13    (33)

Franklin             12  -  7  -  4  -   7     (30)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Hill 19, Satterfield 12, Cardwell 2

Coach Curry's Postgame: Overall I was pleased with our effort.  Our man to man defense, thanks to Coach Vincent's suggestion, was the key to our win.  It got us moving better and created turnovers which led to some easy baskets.  We are still struggling with our offense against a full court press.  We have got to improve on this if we are going to be successful.

Lady Dragons :  ( 2 - 2 )

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 3 :     Moss (14)  Drakes Creek (46) @ Drakes Creek (Nov 23, 2009)

Lady Dragons       3  -   4  -  2  -  5     (14)

Drakes Creek       9  -   7  -  18 - 12   (46)

Lady Dragon Scoring:  Mosby 5, Satterfield 2, Hill 2, Dismon 2, Gibbons 2, Cobb 1

Coach Curry's Postgame:   We had a good defensive effort in the first half.  However our inability to get anything going offensively hurt us.  Our offensive woes, especially against Drakes full court press, took a toll in the second half.  We had a lot of turnovers which led to a number of easy baskets for Drakes.  Hopefully we will get back on track next Monday against Franklin.

Lady Dragons :  (1 - 2)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 2 :      Moss (13)  Grayson Co (26)  @ Moss (Nov 19, 2009)

Lady Dragons       2  -  6  -  1 -  4    (13)

Grayson Co         6  -  10 -  6  - 4    (26)

Lady Dragon Scoring: Hill 4, Cobb 3, Clouse 2, Ives 2, Satterfield 2

Coach Curry's Postgame: I was a little disappointed in our effort Thursday night. I didn't think we had played with the same effort that we had in the first game. When you factor this in with the fact that we had an off shooting night, it did not produce the results that we had hoped for. You also have to consider this was Grayson County's 31st ballgame and only our second.

Lady Dragons : (1 - 1)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game 1 :   Moss (26)  St. Joes (16)     @ St. Joes  (Nov 12, 2009)

Lady Dragons        8  -  4  - 4  - 10      (26)

St. Joes                 3  -  4  - 4  -  5       (16)

Lady Dragon Scoring :  Hill 14,  Ives 6 ,  Satterfield 4,  Lewis 2

Coach Curry's Postgame:  It was good to get a win in our first game.  We played hard the entire game.  We have a lot of work to do on both offense and defense and both should improve over time.  We must do a better job on the defensive boards.

Lady Dragons Record : (1 - 0)
